Cole Lawson is a trusted business adviser and partner, offering our clients discretion and confidentiality.
As a result, we do not publish our full list of clients or projects on our web site. However, the following is a sample of selected, recent projects we have been working on:
Aviation: We are working with one of the best-known, global nonprofit organisations in the aviation safety arena. We recently helped the group launch the first global standard for flight safety in the resources sector. The story was covered by media nationally and internationally, including The Australian.
Aged care: Cole Lawson provides ongoing issues management and communication planning for several aged care providers, along with the industry's peak body in Queensland. In 2009, Cole Lawson won Australia's top public affairs award from the Public Relations Institute of Australia for a campaign we developed for Queensland Meals on Wheels.
Energy: Cole Lawson represents a leading national energy company that is active in exploration and electricity generation and retail. We work closely with our client's executive team to deliver public relations activities that help the organisation achieve its strategic goals. We recently achieved national publicity highlighting the company's views on the Government's CPRS policy.
Nonprofit: Cole Lawson represents several nonprofit organisations and is currently helping an iconic Queensland volunteer group to create awareness of its 100th anniversary. The launch of our client's centenary was covered in January 2010 on Channel 10 and Channel 9 news.
Social justice: Our award-winning public affairs team is currently working with United Motorcycle Councils in four Australian states to campaign against the introduction of anti-association (aka anti-biker) laws. We recently achieved national coverage of this issue in a debate on the topic at the National Press Club in Canberra, which was broadcast live on the ABC.
Safety: Cole Lawson recently helped a national member association raise awareness about the dangers of unsafe insulation installations. This became a national story that positioned our client as the opinion leader on the topic and helped change the Federal Government's policy on its insulation rebate scheme.
Association: In February 2010, Cole Lawson presented a seminar at Equestrian Queensland's state conference about dealing with journalists and achieving positive publicity. We regularly run media training workshops and awareness sessions, often incorporating presentations from working journalists to help give clients a real-world perspective.
