Design and web development agency Ruby6 has been acquired by PR agency Cole Lawson, forming a new, mid-sized public relations firm.
Cole Lawson Group managing director Margaret Lawson said the merger of the independently successful and complementary businesses was expected to bring significant synergies and growth opportunities to the company that she founded in 2008.
“We plan to operate Ruby6 as a the key creative agency of the group with no changes to the brand,” Ms Lawson said.
“For clients, there will be the addition and streamlining of services and resources on their accounts, but no disruption or visible changes.”
Ms Lawson said as well as harnessing economies of scale for clients, some of the synergy savings from the merger would be invested in building the firm’s talent pool.
“There is a lot of competition in the Brisbane market for skilled employees, and this merger will make us a more attractive prospect for talent by providing a bigger client book, more growth opportunities, and more variety in our service offering.”
