Cole Lawson managed the national media launch of the new "Injex" product this week - a needle-free anaesthetic for dentists.

High-achieving UQ student Hannah Lucas has been announced as the 2011 winner of the prestigious Cole Lawson Award. 

The award was presented to Hannah on December 22 at a function attended by her family and friends, academic and professional staff from UQ, and invited guests from the media and communication industries.

The Cole Lawson team is working hard this week to help Volunteering Qld with the media launch of a project that will help householders and businesses better prepare ourselves for emergencies.  The Disaster Readiness Index (at www.emergencyvolunteering.com.au) gives individuals a “star” rating on their level of preparedness and generates a personalised list of steps to take to become more emergency-ready.

I will admit that prior to interning at Cole Lawson I was a little intimidated. The unknown is scary and preparing myself for PR agency life was a completely new experience. After reading every intern blog post and article I could find, I was ready to familiarise myself with the photocopier and learn how to carry eight coffees from Starbucks.
